On 17 and 18 September the SafetyUpDate Graz illuminated the megatrends in the automotive industry from the perspective of vehicle safety.
The SafetyUpDate addressed general topics such as the NCAP consumer tests as well as specific topics such as testing or simulation methods of active or passive safety systems.
On Wednesday Dr. Corina Klug, Christoph Leo and Martin Schachner (Graz University of Technology) spoke about ‘Assessment of Vulnerable Road User Protection with Human Body Models’:
• Certification of Human Body Models for the Euro NCAP assessment of deployable systems
• Integrated Safety Assessment Framework for Vulnerable Road Users developed within the Horizon 2020 project VIRTUAL
